Barrels made from oak means Darryn and Tanya have created a business that uses alot of them. A wide range of practical and decorative wood ware for house and garden, furniture and iron work. Always a great selection all year around. Check out their shop at the Waikuku Mill.

Samson is a craftsman of talent using Pounamu and other regional stone. His Nomad creations are to wear and for your home, unique and special in every respect.

Jayden and his dad Pete have been long timers at Ohoka. Kaiapoi based with a long and impressive history in working the Pounamu from the West Coast of the middle island you can find jewellery of all kinds carved by them for you.

Justin is a craftsman from Rangiora and one of talent using old wood from trees, buildings, and the most unlikely of places to create the most devine of wooden things. Bowls, ladles. spoons, stools, boards to just mention a few, from beech, maple, rosewood, magnolia. Quality and unique, make superb special gifts or for you own classy collection of natural wood utensils.

Nadia has been along timer at Ohoka and offers customers a divine and delicate selection of soy candles for all occasions. Heavenly scents and always something new being created by her.

With nutrition as our fuel as a guide, Helena comes from the hinterland of Amberley with her black trailer well stocked with lotions, potions to heal. Trained in traditional herbal medicine Helena offers everything for restoring and repairing your health including some herbal perennials for your own garden. A summer stallholder.

Shelly has a lovely collection of olde world, vintage, curious and rare finds, some cane too, find her most Fridays over summer and occasionally on sunny days mid winter.

Cedah is a local and her daughters have got a thing for Montana, so expect some great finds they have brought to the market. Cowboy boots, jeans, jackets and pretty things. What a great way to spend a Friday pre or post your food shop. A little bit of USA right here in Ohoka, and with the most charming of company too.

Penne is from Cust and pots. Her collection for kitchen and home showcases her skill on the wheel and use of interesting glazes. Always something new. A regular all year stallholder.

Carolyn is a local classic maker and designer of childrens clothing, lovingly and beautifully crafted by her; one off pieces for little people. Beautiful fabrics that say something special about the people who dress them too. Summer season.

Helen is a seamstress using top quality linen, she makes to order but she also has a lovely collection of pre made woman’s clothing, superb quality. Summer season only.

Held on public holidays Friday mornings : Show Day, Good Friday and Matariki. These markets include the special guests who are either returning old time artisans or new ones offering something special for your morning shop.

Every year we make big deal around the Festive Season of markets. You can expect all the artisans of craft to make extra effort in making your Christmas giving a unique, bespoke, special one. We invite special guests too, stretched over the entire month of December leading up to Christmas but especially the two Fridays before and this year the special Wed Dec 23rd market to finish of the Christmas markets. From jewellery to children’s clothing, cosmetics to pottery, you can be guaranteed to find all your giving of gifts here.
